EAST ORANGE, NJ – The East Orange Campus High School boys’ shuttle hurdle relay team is the best in the nation… again!
For the second year in a row, the Jaguars captured the shuttle hurdle relay title at the New Balance Nationals on Saturday, June 16 at North Carolina A&T in Greensboro, N.C.
Akeem Lindo, who won the 110-meter and 400-meter hurdle titles at the State Meet of Champions on June 9, ran the leadoff leg. Al-Tariq Dunson ran the second leg, Ibrahim Fobay ran the third leg and Malcome Barnes ran the anchor leg. The quartet finished in 56.54, just .32 off the meet record and state record set by Union Catholic in 2013.
Lindo competed at his future college. He will attend NC A&T in the fall on a track and field scholarship.
