EAST ORANGE, NJ – The 15th-seeded East Orange Campus High School boys varsity basketball team lost to No. 18 seed North Star Academy, 52-47, Feb. 7 in the preliminary third round of the Essex County Tournament at home. Izaiah Poole had 14 points; Justin Singh-Smith had 12 points; Kaleb Harmon had nine points and Mario Gunn had seven points, eight rebounds and three blocks for the Jaguars, who moved to a 7-11 record.
The Jaguars received the No. 16 and final seed in the NJSIAA North Jersey Section 1,Group 4 state tournament that begins Feb. 25.
