EAST ORANGE, NJ – The East Orange Campus High School varsity football team hopes to end the season on a winning note as the Jaguars visit Barringer on Thanksgiving Day in the teams’ annual Thanksgiving Day game. Kickoff is at 11 a.m. at Schools Stadium in Newark.

The Jaguars are coming off a 42-13 loss to Elizabeth in the first round of the state North Jersey Section 2, Group 5 playoffs on Nov. 11 at Paul Robeson Stadium to move to a 5-4 record. Barringer has a 2-7 record.

EOCHS, under second-year head coach Al-Majid Hutchins, has won the past six Thanksgiving Day meetings. Barringer won the 2009 meeting when the Thanksgiving Day series was resumed.

This will be the 105th meeting between the teams. The East Orange vs. Barringer football series is believed to be the longest in New Jersey. It began in 1897. East Orange holds a 56-39-9 series lead.
