EAST ORANGE, NJ – Senior quarterback Naseem White carried 13 times for 175 yards and one touchdown and passed for 145 yards and another score, and junior running back/receiver Rady Rojas rushed for 111 yards and two touchdowns on 12 carries to power the East Orange Campus High School varsity football team to a 28-3 win over Livingston on Friday, Sept. 23, at Paul Robeson Stadium.
Rojas scored on a 1-yard run and kicked the extra point in the first half.
The Jaguars put the game away by scoring three touchdowns in the fourth quarter. White threw a 45-yard touchdown pass to senior receiver Eddie Marshall. The extra-point kick failed. White scored a 75-yard run and Rojas added the two-point conversion run. Rojas had a four-yard touchdown run. He kicked the ensuing point-after.
White completed five of nine passes. Senior running back Giovanni Shine rushed for 33 yards on seven carries and junior running back Nasir Neal had 14 yards on four carries for the Jaguars, who improved to a 2-1 record.
Defensively, Rojas had eight tackles; junior end Donovan Holloway had six tackles and one sack; senior tackle Khalil Holcolm had two sacks; senior linebacker Al-Shamar Davenport had six tackles; junior defensive back Neal posted five tackles and junior lineman Nasim Marin notched four tackles for EOCHS.
Next game: The Jaguars will travel to Paterson to face Kennedy on Saturday, Oct. 1, at 1 p.m.
