Triniti Haskins, Lakel Willis lead East Orange Campus HS girls’ basketball team to victory

EAST ORANGE, NJ – Freshman Trinity Haskins scored 14 points and pulled down 10 rebounds and senior Lakel Willis also had 14 points and eight boards to lead the East Orange Campus High School girls’ varsity basketball team to a 50-39 win over Carolina Prep Academy, of South Carolina, Jan. 6.

Junior Brianna Turner had 10 points, six rebounds and six steals; sophomore Destiny Battle had eight points and eight rebounds and senior Brianna Mills had four points and three rebounds for the Jaguars, who improved to a 5-4 record on the season.

In earlier action, Turner had eight points and Haskins and Battle each had seven points and four rebounds in a 56-37 home loss to a good Saddle River Day team on Jan. 2. Willis had six points and Mills scored five points and dished out four assists.
