GLEN RIDGE – The second-seeded Glen Ridge High School varsity baseball team posted its second straight shutout in the state North Jersey Section 2, Group 1 tournament to advance to the semifinals.
The Ridgers defeated seventh-seeded Weehawken, 2-0, in the quarterfinals on May 26 at Hurrell Field to improve to an 11-12 record.
GRHS will host 11th-seeded Secaucus in the semifinals on May 31 at Hurrell Field. The other semifinal pits fourth-seeded Brearley at top-seeded Bloomfield Tech. The final is June 3.
