Glen Ridge HS boys basketball team falls to Orange in ECT

GLEN RIDGE, NJ – The Glen Ridge High School boys varsity basketball team, seeded No. 32, defeated No. 38 seed Science Park in the preliminary first round before losing to No. 17 seed Orange in the preliminary second round of the Essex County Tournament to move to a 4-12 record.

Simon Low had 15 points; Aiden Connaghan had nine points and Sam Trunley and Joe DeLuca each had eight points in the 49-37 win over Science Park, Jan. 31, at home. Kevin Mathew chipped in two points.

Trunley had a game-high 18 points in the 44-40 loss at Orange, Feb. 2. Mathew had six points; Michael Cifelli and Low each had five points; and Connaghan and Carter Koenig each had three points.
