Glen Ridge HS boys’ basketball team has bright future

Young Ridgers post competitive season

GLEN RIDGE – Despite having no seniors on the roster, the Glen Ridge High School boys’ varsity basketball team enjoyed a competitive season.

Indeed, the future is bright for the Ridgers, under head coach Liam Carr.

GRHS lost to third-seeded University, 77-44, in the quarterfinals of the state North Jersey Section 2, Group 1 tournament on March 3 in Newark to end the season with a 12-14 record.

Sophomore Tyler Liddy had 11 points and four assists; sophomore George Kinzler had 10 points and five rebounds; junior Ryan Liddy had seven points; junior Charlie DeLuca posted six points and four rebounds; sophomore Avery Hackett had six points; junior Max Thompson had three points and four assists; and sophomore David Weissenberger chipped in one point for the sixth-seeded Ridgers.
