Glen Ridge HS boys’ basketball team hopes to get back on track

GLEN RIDGE – The Glen Ridge High School boys’ varsity basketball team hoped to get back on the winning track.

The Ridgers lost all three games last week to move to a 5-5 record.

Sophomore David Weissberger scored 12 points, but the Ridgers lost to Montclair Immaculate Conception, 54-26, Jan. 12, at home. junior Charlie DeLuca had four points; freshman Liam Gunnarsson had three; and sophomore George Kinzler, junior Ryan Liddy andjunior Max Thompson each had two.

GRHS lost a heartbreaking 40-38 home decision to Christ the King Prep on Jan. 14. Kinzler and Weissenberger each had 10 points.

The Ridgers fell to Verona, 50-33, Jan. 16, at home. Weissenberger had eight points; sophomore Tyler Liddy had seven points; and Thompson had six points. DeLuca had four points and junior Nick Weber-Zazzu and Kinzler each had three.

GRHS will visit Caldwell on Jan. 19 at 6 p.m., host Technology on Jan. 21 at 4 p.m. and host Cedar Grove on Jan. 26 at 4 p.m.
