Glen Ridge HS boys’ basketball team seeks good run in ECT

GLEN RIDGE – The Glen Ridge High School boys’ varsity basketball team hopes to make a good run in the Essex County Tournament.

The seeding meeting was scheduled for Jan. 28. The brackets were scheduled to be released Jan. 29.

The Ridgers gave a good effort in losing to a strong Irvington team, falling 58-48, Jan. 24 at home. Sam Trunley had 15 points; Aiden Connaghan had 11 points; Simon Low scored 10 points; Kevin Mathew had seven points; Michael Cifelli added three points and Carter Koenig chipped in two points. Irvington improved to 13-1.

GRHS then fell to Newark Tech, 63-32, Jan. 26 to move to a 3-11 mark.
