Glen Ridge HS boys’ soccer team continues to thrive

GLEN RIDGE, NJ – The Glen Ridge High School boys’ varsity soccer team defeated Cedar Grove and Nutley and lost to East Orange Campus last week to move to an impressive 9-3 record through Oct. 8.

Gaetan Ternes had a hat trick to lead the Ridgers to a 4-0 win at Cedar Grove on Oct. 4 in a Super Essex Conference-Colonial Division game. The Ridgers then lost to East Orange Campus, 1-0, Oct. 6, in a Colonial Division game. The loss snapped the Ridgers’ two-game winning streak.

The Ridgers bounced back with a 2-0 win over Nutley on Saturday, Oct. 8, at the Park Oval in Nutley in a non-division game.

GRHS, seeded 11th, will host the winner between No. 23 Cedar Grove and No. 22 Belleville in the Essex Tournamnet on Saturday, Oct. 15, at noon at Watsessing Park.
