GLEN RIDGE, NJ – The eighth-seeded Glen Ridge High School boys’ varsity soccer team was eliminated from the Essex County Tournament in a penalty kick shootout against ninth-seeded Columbia in the round of 16 in the Essex County Tournament on Oct. 18 at Watsessing Park in Bloomfield.
The teams played through a scoreless tie through regulation and two overtimes. Columbia won the penalty kick shootout, 5-4.
Glen Ridge moved to a 6-3-1 record.
