GLEN RIDGE – The Glen Ridge High School boys’ varsity soccer team, under longtime head coach Steve Reitberger, will open the season against Bloomfield Tech on the road Sept. 8 at 4 p.m.
Following a strong run in the postseason in which they advanced to the state North Jersey Section 2, Group 1 tournament semifinals a year ago, the Ridgers will be paced by junior Aaron Robertson.
Other key seniors are Owen McKinney, Chris Harris and Sean Callaghan.
The Ridgers will host Golda Och Academy on Sept. 12 at Watsessing Park at 4:30 p.m. and visit Barringer in Newark on Sept. 13 at 4 p.m.
