Glen Ridge HS cross-country runners give strong efforts at SEC meet

GLEN RIDGE, NJ — The Glen Ridge High School boys and girls cross-country teams gave strong efforts at the Super Essex Conference–Liberty Division Championships at Branch Brook Park in Newark on Tuesday, Oct. 12.

In the boys race, senior Ojas Kalra finished fifth overall out of 57 runners. He clocked 19:13.20. Sophomore Sebastian Chang D’Arcy took 20th in 20:10.90, senior Evan Rossi took 22nd in 20:25.70, junior Craig Stites was 25th in 21:00.90, junior Mac Davidson was 27th in 21:8.00,   junior Preston Palm was 36th in 22.37.4 and senior Miles Feheley was 42nd in 23:37.7.

The boys finished fourth in the team standings out of nine scoring teams. Caldwell was first, followed by Cedar Grove and Nutley.

In the girls race, senior Lily Kuhn took 11th place in 23:32.40 out of 41 finishers and sophomore Mia Bressler took 13th place in 23:59.10. Kuhn and Bressler were the lone GRHS girls runners.
