Glen Ridge HS field hockey team wins three straight to move to 4-2

GLEN RIDGE, NJ – The Glen Ridge High School varsity field hockey team won three straight to improve toa 4-2 record through Sept. 19.

Maggie Smith had four goals and one assist and Sarah Looney had two goals and one assist in the 8-1 win over Columbia on Sept. 15 at George Washington Field. Gretchen Gilmore had one goal and one assist; Ashley DiGioia scored a goal; Julia Hegarty and Elizabeth O’Connell each added one assist and Caroline Keavey made nine saves.

Maggie Krupinsky had two goals and one assist; Smith and Looney each had two goals; and Grace Twitchell contributed one goal and two assists in the 7-2 home win over Livingston on Sept. 17. Sophie Thervil had two assists; Erin Chung had one assist and Keavey made 10 saves.

In the 3-1 win at Mountain Lakes on Sept. 19, Smith and Twitchell each had one goal and one assist, Krupinsky had a goal;  Erin Chung had one assist and Keavey made five saves.
