Glen Ridge HS football players earn All-NJSFC honors

GLEN RIDGE, NJ – The Glen Ridge High School varsity football team featured several players who earned All-North Jersey Super Football Conference-National Red honors.

They include:

First Team Defense – Max Auborn.

Second Team Defense – Quinlan Hood and Tyler Grady.

Honorable mention – Owen Fincher.

First Team Offense – Joe Marchesano and Matt Myles.

Second Team Offense – Ryan Liddy and Tyler Liddy.

Honorable Mention – Nick Weber-Zazzu.

Statistics

• Matt Myles, 18-for-18 on extra points, five field goals. 12 catches for 289 yards 4 touchdowns, one, two-point play. Led team in total points (59). 47 tackles, 5 sacks.
• Max Auborn: 97 tackles, 5 sacks, 1 safety, 3 forced fumbles, 2 fumble recoveries, 1 interception.
• Tyler Grady: 55 tackles, 1 fumble recovery, 1 interception. 12 catches for 12 yards.
• Quinlan Hood: 81 tackles, 4 sacks, 1 forced fumble, 1 fumble recovery.
• Owen Fincher: 87 tackles, 3 sacks, 4 fumble recoveries, 2 interceptions. 18 catches for 254 yards, 3 TDs.
• Tyler Liddy: 214 passing attempts, 113 completions, 1,460 yards, 13 TD passes, 7 interceptions. 84 carries for 125 yards, 2 TDs.
• Joe Marchesano: 149 carries for 522 yards, 3 TDs. 21 catches for 173 yards, 1 TD.
• Nick Weber-Zazzu:  24 catches for 335 yards, 3 TDs. 36 tackles, 1 interception returned for a TD.
• Ryan Liddy: Top run blocker as offensive tackle. On defense as a tackle, 24 tackles, 2 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, 1 fumble recovery.

The Ridgers, under head coach Duke Mendez, qualified for the state section playoffs for the fourth straight season and finished with a 3-7 record.
