GLEN RIDGE — The Glen Ridge High School football team started the season in emphatic fashion as the Ridgers crushed Indian Hills, 34-0, Sept. 10, in Oakland.
James McCarren ran for 113 yards and two touchdowns on just 10 carries and Ryan O’Neil had 78 rushing yards and a touchdown on six carries to lead the Ridgers. McCarren and O’Neil also led the Ridgers’ defense.
Najm Wright ran for 54 yards and a touchdown on four carries. O’Neil had 14 tackles and McCarren posted 12 tackles. Frankie Renois recorded 10 tackles. Glen Ridge will host Immaculate Conception of Montclair on Sept. 18.
