Glen Ridge HS girls’ basketball team enjoys solid 15-11 season

GLEN RIDGE, NJ – The Glen Ridge High School girls’ varsity basketball team enjoyed a successful season.

Under first-year head coach Joe Mazzarella, the Ridgers finished with a 15-11 record.

Glen Ridge, seeded 10th, lost at second-seeded Dayton, 48-36, in the quarterfinals of the NJSIAA North Jersey Section 2, Group 1 state tournament on Feb. 28 in Springfield to end the season. Junior tri-captain Jenny Lisovicz scored 15 points; junior tri-captain Claire McMahon had five points; and senior tri-captain Lindsay Jaiyesimi had four to lead the Ridgers. Sophomores Michaela Dowd and Haileigh Pine each had three points and sophomore Sarah Cullinan added two for GRHS.
