Glen Ridge HS girls’ basketball team looks to stop skid

GLEN RIDGE – The Glen Ridge High School girls’ basketball team hoped to end its losing streak.

Junior Gabby Kinzler scored 12 points, but the Lady Ridgers lost at Montclair Kimberley Academy, 48-32, Jan. 12. Junior Meghan Marhan had six points; junior Leslie Jaiyesimi, freshman Jenny Lisovicz and freshman Claire McMahon each had four points; and junior Juliann Lisovicz had two points.

The Ridgers lost a tough 36-34 decision at Science Park on Jan. 14 in Newark. The Ridgers rallied from a 22-13 halftime deficit, but the comeback fell short.

Kinzler scored eights points and Jaiyesimi had seven points in the 47-34 loss at Verona on Jan. 16. McMahon had six points; and Jenny Lisovicz and Marhan each had four. It was the fourth straight loss and dropped GRHS to 5-6.
