Glen Ridge HS girls’ cross-country runner Sofia Costa takes 2nd at SEC-Colonial meet

NEWARK, NJ – Glen Ridge High School varsity girls’ cross-country runner Sofia Costa finished in second place overall at the Super Essex Conference-Colonial Division Championships held at Branch Brook Park in Newark on Oct. 3.

Costa, a sophomore, was the  lone GRHS varsity runner at the meet, clocking 21:43.6. East Orange Campus HS won the girls’ title.

On the boys’ side, junior Prince Fitzpatrick was the top finisher for the Ridgers as he placed 13th in 18:53.9. Senior David Ogilive was the second-best GRHS finisher. He took 23rd in 19:22.1. The GRHS boys’ team finished seventh out of nine teams. Livingston won the team title.
