Glen Ridge HS girls’ lacrosse team enjoys three-game winning streak

GLEN RIDGE – The Glen Ridge High School girls’ varsity lacrosse team defeated Mount St. Dominic Academy and rallied to beat Westfield.

Junior Colleen Grady had seven goals and one assist; junior Galen Lew had three goals and two assists and junior Maggie Smith had three goals and one assist in the 21-2 win at Mount Saint Dominic Academy on April 7 in Caldwell. Freshman Claire McMahon had two goals and one assist; sophomore Morgan Connaghan and junior Juliann Lisovicz each had two goals; junior Bryanna O’Keefe and freshman Charlotte Smith each had one goal; and freshman Jenn Lisovicz added one assist.

The Ridgers rallied from a 7-3 halftime deficit and defeated Westfield, 13-11, April 9 at Watsessing Park field. Grady had seven goals and Maggie Smith had three goals and one assist. Juliann Lisovicz scored twice and Lew added one goal. Senior goalie Nicole Eckert made six saves for GRHS.

The Ridgers’ three-game winning streak ended with an 18-9 home loss to Chatham on April 11. GRHS moved to a 3-1 record.
