Glen Ridge HS girls’ lacrosse team is No. 2 seed in section state tournament

GLEN RIDGE, NJ – The Glen Ridge High School varsity girls’ lacrosse team received the No. 2 seed in the NJSIAA North Jersey Section 2, Group 1 state tournament.

The Ridgers, who won the Essex County Tournament title for the third year in a row earlier this season, will host a quarterfinal game May 18 at Watsessing Park at 4 pm. against either No. 7 seed Kent Place or No. 10 seed Mount St. Dominic. The semifinals are May 22. The top seed is Oak Knoll.

GRHS defeated West Morris, 16-7, May 7, and lost to Northern Highlands, 12-9, May 9, and lost to Ridgewood, 17-6, May 12, to move to an 11-6 record.
