GLEN RIDGE, NJ — The Glen Ridge High School girls soccer team won back-to-back games, shutting out Roselle Park and Caldwell, to improve to a 3-6 record on the season.
Olivia Hoover, a sophomore, scored two goals and senior Sarah Cullinan had a goal to lead the Ridgers to a 3-0 win over Roselle Park on Sept. 25 at Watsessing Park.
Senior Tara Feenaghty recorded two assists and junior Olivia Carbonell made five saves for the shutout.
Feenaghty had a goal and assisted on sophomore Alison Shea’s goal in the 2-0 win at Caldwell on Sept. 27.
Carbonell posted four saves.
The Ridgers hope to make a good run in the Essex County Tournament.
The seeding meeting was scheduled for Oct. 2.
Last season, the Ridgers advanced to the ECT championship game, falling to West Orange.
