Glen Ridge HS girls’ soccer team keeps up unbeaten start

CEDAR GROVE, NJ – Lindsey Jaiyesimi, a senior, scored two goals and sophomore Gemma Barrata and freshman Sydney Mansfield each had one goal to lead the undefeated Glen Ridge High School varsity girls’ soccer team to a 4-0 win over Cedar Grove on Monday, Sept. 25, in Cedar Grove in a Super Essex Conference non-division game.
Tara Feenaghty, a sophomore, had two assists and junior Jenny Lisovicz and junior Jessica Muney each had one assist for the Ridgers, who raised their record to 5-0-1. Gabby Sanchez made three saves and fellow senior Victoria Woznick made two saves to combine for the shutout.

In the previous game, Mansfield scored two goals and Jaiyesimi had one goal and one assist in the 4-1 win over Roselle Park in a non-conference game Friday, Sept. 22, in Roselle Park.

Taylor Townson, a sophomore, scored a goal; Feenaghty had two assists and Lisovicz had one assist. Woznick made 10 saves.
