Glen Ridge HS girls soccer team tops Cedar Grove

GLEN RIDGE, NJ — Tara Feenaghty had two goals, Olivia Hoover had a goal and an assist and Talia Reid and Alison Shea each scored to lead the Glen Ridge High School girls soccer team to a 5-0 win at Cedar Grove on Monday, Oct. 14, in a Super Essex Conference game. GRHS moved to an 8-7 record.

The ninth-seeded Ridgers fell at top-seeded Montclair, 4-0, in the quarterfinals on Saturday, Oct. 12. The loss ended the Ridgers’ six-game winning streak. Hoover scored off an assist from Eve Fawcett to lift the Ridgers to a 1-0 win over eighth-seeded Montclair Kimberley Academy in the first round on Thursday, Oct. 10. Olivia Carbonell made six saves for the Ridgers.
