GLEN RIDGE, NJ – The Glen Ridge High School boys’ and girls’ swim teams gave good efforts at the Super Essex Conference/Essex County Championships at New Jersey Institute of Technology in Newark, Jan. 21.
The GRHS girls’ team finished ninth with 52.59 points among the 12 scoring teams. Newark Academy won the girls’ team title with 193.50 points.
The GRHS boys’ team finished 11th out of 13 teams. Seton Hall Prep won the team title for the 22nd straight year.
Leading the GRHS girls’ team, Schuyler Ross had two second-place finishes: 200-yard freestyle in 2:00.36 and 500-yard freestyle in 5:19.01.
For the GRHS boys, Enzo Wood finished fifth in both the 200-yard freestyle in 1:53.35 and the 500-yard freestyle in 5:05.42, while Liam Hood took fourth in the 200-yard individual medley in 2:02.70 and sixth in the 100-yard butterfly in 56.01.
