Glen Ridge HS track athletes give good efforts at state Meet of Champions

GLEN RIDGE (Updated Tuesday June 14, 10:12 a.m.) – Glen Ridge High School track and field athletes gave good efforts during the state Meet of Champions at Central Regional HS in Bayville on June 8 to finish the season.

Senior Owen Tuck placed ninth in the boys’ 200-meter dash in 22.21. The boys’ 4×400-meter relay team ran a  season-best 3:28.05. Senior Connor Lewis ran the leadoff leg, followed by junior Judah Raab, senior Justin Dignan and senior Teandre Russell-Rose.

The girls’ 4×100-meter relay ran a school-record 50.75. Junior Olivia Schwern ran the leadoff leg, followed by sophomore Liz Hauschild, sophomore Lindsay Jaiyesimi and junior Victoire Omou.

The meet consisted of the top six finishers in each event, plus wild-card berths, from the state Group meets the previous weekend.
