Simon Low’s 25 points lead Glen Ridge HS boys basketball team past MKA

GLEN RIDGE, NJ – Simon Low scored 25 points and pulled down eight rebounds to lead the Glen Ridge High School boys varsity basketball team to a 52-48 home win over Montclair Kimberley Academy, Feb. 8.

Joe DeLuca had 15 points, nine rebounds, five steals and three assists; Sam Trunley had six points; and Kevin Mathew had four points and six rebounds for the Ridgers, who improved to a 6-13 record.

In earlier action, Trunley scored 19 points with three 3-pointers, six rebounds and three assists to lead the Ridgers to a 58-45 win at Bayonne, Feb. 4. Aidan Connaghan had 12 points and four rebounds; Low posted 10 points, eight rebounds and four assists; Mathew had nine points and six rebounds and DeLuca added six points and two rebounds.

GRHS fell at Nutley, 50-35, Feb. 5. Low had 13 points and seven rebounds; Trunley had eight points and six rebounds and Michael Cifelli had four points.
