Verona/Glen Ridge ice hockey team extends unbeaten streak to nine games

GLEN RIDGE, NJ – The Verona/Glen Ridge high school varsity ice hockey team tied both Millburn and Kinnelon to extend its unbeaten streak to nine games (6-0-3) and move to an 8-4-4 record.

Verona senior Jarrod Keating scored the lone goal in the third period, his second of the game, to stake Verona/Glen Ridge to a 2-2 with Millburn on Jan. 12.

Keating opened the scoring in first period on an assist by GRHS junior Jeff Egan. Sam Charlat scored two goals in the second period to give Millburn a 2-1 lead. GRHS junior Chris Kostas made 41 saves.

Verona/Glen Ridge tied Kinnelon, 4-4, Jan. 14. Egan scored two goals; Keating had a goal and two assists; Verona sophomore Vincent Eremita had a goal; Glen Ridge freshman Zach Gold posted two assists; Verona senior Harrison Keating and Verona sophomore Jack Lonsinger each had an assist and Kostas made 17 saves.
