Verona/Glen Ridge ice hockey wins third game in a row

VERONA/GLEN RIDGE, NJ — The Verona/Glen Ridge high school ice hockey team defeated Millburn, 4-0, Dec. 16, for its third win in a row to improve to 3-1 on the season.

GR freshman Rowan Brennan scored two goals; and Verona sophomore Dominick Pandiscia and GR freshman Will Benson each had a goal. GR senior Aidan Brennan and Chandler Otterbein each had two assists and GR junior Alec Vecchione and GR sophomore Zach Gold each had an assist.

GR senior Chris Kostas made 19 saves.

Verona/GR will participate in the Essex County Holiday Tournament at Richard J. Codey Arena in West Orange. The team will face Chatham on Monday, Dec. 23, at 10:30 a.m.; Madison on Thursday, Dec. 26, at 12:30 p.m. and Pascack Valley on Friday, Dec. 27, at 11:30 a.m.
