IRVINGTON – Senior center Jasmine Williams scored 24 points to lead the Irvington High School girls’ varsity basketball team to its first win of the season, 45-34, over Roxbury in the Morris Hills Tournament consolation on Dec. 29.
Senior Atonie Johnson had 11 points; junior Rhoda Agyemang had four points; and senior point guard Jakiyah Martin, senior Nyoka McKnight, and Tiffany Terrell each had two points for IHS, which moved to a 1-3 record.
The previous day, IHS lost to Morris Hills, 46-26, in the first game of the tourney. Johnson had 15 points, Williams had six; Agyemang had three and Martin had two.
In earlier action, Williams scored 16 points and Johnson and junior Jessica Washington each had 10 points in the 46-44 home loss to Bloomfield on Dec. 22. Martin had five points.
