IRVINGTON, NJ – The Irvington Golden Knights Pop Warner football program experienced an excellent weekend that saw every level record a victory.
Flag (ages 5-6) prevailed versus the Central Ward Blue Devils, 12-6, to start the weekend off on a high note.
The Tiny Mites (ages 6-7), nicknamed “The Money Team,” remained undefeated with a 35-0 win over Woodbridge. The Tiny Mites have yet to yield a single point this season.
The Mitey Mites (ages 8-9) also remained undefeated with a 32-0 victory over the West Ward Vikings.
The Junior Pee Wees (ages 10-11) recorded a 35-0 victory over Watchung Hills.
The Pee Wees (ages 12) handed the North Side Cardinals a 20-0 loss for their third straight victory.
The Junior Varsity team (ages 13) traveled to Virginia and represented the Newark Pop Warner league with a 6-0 victory over the Berlin Seahawks.
The Golden Knights will be home on Sunday, Oct. 15, starting at 9 a.m.
The cheerleaders will have the Newark League competition on Saturday, Oct. 14.
