Irvington HS boys’ hoop team defeats Orange in season opener

IRVINGTON – Talik Lee had 14 points and four assists and Ahmere Nelson had 13 points, three rebounds and two assists to lead the Irvington High School boys’ varsity basketball team to a 55-44 home win over Orange in the season opener on Friday, Dec. 18.

Ijah Jones had 12 points and Othniel Nyameke contributed 11 points, nine rebounds, six assists and two steals for the Blue Knights, who led 26-15 at halftime.

IHS was scheduled to visit Columbia on Tuesday, Dec. 22.
