Irvington HS boys’ soccer team tops Nutley, 1-0, for eighth win in a row

IRVINGTON, NJ – The Irvington High School boys’ varsity soccer team defeated Nutley, 1-0, Oct. 8, at IHS on a goal by Jean Kemser Desinor.

Prince Pierresaint made seven saves for the Blue Knights, who won their eighth straight game to improve to 8-1 overall and finished its Super Essex Conference-Colonial Division schedule at 7-1. Nutley fell to 6-2 overall, 4-1 in the division.

In the Blue Knights’ previous game, Joseph Stoichkov scored three goals and assisted on a goal by Costadinov Joseph in the 4-0 win over Payne Tech on Oct. 5 at Irvington Park. Joseph also assisted on one of Stoichkov’s goals.
