IRVINGTON The Irvington High School boys’ track and field 4×100-meter and 4×400-meter relay teams enjoyed fine efforts at the 122nd Penn Relays at Franklin Field in Philadelphia, Pa. on Saturday, April 30, on the third and final day of the meet.
Peter Dummerand, Al’Nazir Blackman, Craig Bradley, and Charles Felton Golden ran 46.65 and placed sixth in their 4×100 heat that was won by Kingston College of Jamaica.
Jhamir Applewhite, Brandon Moreno, Da’John Graves, and Jason Cills ran 3:42.8 in their 4×400 heat for their fastest time of the season.
“Both teams gained a lot of experience competing against some of the best runners in the nation,” said IHS boys’ head coach Marvin Hawkins.
The IHS boys’ and girls’ teams will gear up for the Essex County Relay Championships at Livingston High School on Friday, May 6.
