IRVINGTON, NJ – The Irvington High School varsity football team returned to its winning ways in emphatic fashion.
The Blue Knights cruised to a dominating 46-12 home win over Millburn on Friday night, Oct. 6 to snap a two-game losing skid and improve to 3-2 on the season.
Senior quarterback Brandon Robinson passed for 195 yards and three touchdowns and rushed for 41 yards on six carries. Robinson completed eight of 13 passes.
Senior running back Nim Salaam rushed for 149 yards and three TDs on 19 carries. Sophomore Zaki Swann had three carries for 16 yards and a TD and caught a 78-yard TD.
Senior receiver Jasiah Provillon had five receptions for 92 yards and two TDs.
Defensively for the Blue Knights, junior middle linebacker Nashawn Brooks had 11 tackles with three for loss; senior linebacker Keyon Means-Bowman had nine tackles, including two for loss; freshman defensive back Oldie Salaam had six tackles and senior tackle Jalen Scott had five tackles.
The Blue Knights will visit Wayne Valley this Friday, Oct. 13, at 7 p.m.
