Irvington HS girls’ basketball team crushes Cristo Rey to tip off the season

IRVINGTON, NJ – The Irvington High School girls’ varsity basketball team defeated Cristo Rey of Newark, 57-9,  in the season opener Friday, Dec. 14 at home, giving Noel Segarra his first win in his debut as head coach.

Senior guard Tiara Mahorn had 20 points, 10 steals, and six assists and junior Aniyah Massey had 19 points and 12 rebounds.

Senior guard Charizma Thomas had six points, five steals; and junior guard Celine Ceasar had six points, five steals, four assists, and four rebounds. Senior forward Herbina Exume also had four points, six rebound and five blocks; and senior center Jenneha Lowe pulled down five rebounds.
