IRVINGTON – Jessica Washington scored 27 points and collected five steals; Atonie Johnson had 10 points and 13 rebounds and Jasmine Williams had 10 points and nine rebounds to lead the Irvington High School girls’ varsity basketball team to a 55-24 road win over Lincoln of New York on Saturday, Jan. 16.
Rhoda Agyemang had six points, five blocks and three rebounds for the Blue Knights, who improved to a 4-6 record.
In previous action, the Blue Knights lost a tough 52-47 decision at Caldwell, Jan. 14. Johnson had a game-high 18 points; Washington had 10 and Williams had nine for IHS. The Blue Knights led 39-34 at the end of the third quarter, but Caldwell outscored IHS, 18-8, in the fourth quarter. Agyemang had six points and Jakiyah Martin had four.
