Irvington HS girls’ basketball team seeks to return to winning ways

The Irvington High School girls’ basketball team hopes to get back on the winning track.

The Blue Knights lost to Mount St. Dominic Academy, 64-49, Sunday, Jan. 6 at the Ray Long Classic held at Felician College in Lodi.

Brianna Lee had 18 points, 10 rebounds and three steals; Tiara Mahorn had 16 points, four assists and three rebounds; and Aniyah Massey had 10 points and 11 rebounds for Irvington, which lost its third straight to move to a 3-3 record.

Irvington will host East Side, Jan. 8, at 4 p.m.; visit Weequahic on Jan. 10 at 4 p.m.; host University Academy Charter on Jan. 14 at 4:30 p.m.; host Golda Och Academy on Jan. 14 at 4 p.m. and host St. Vincent Academy (Newark) on Jan. 15 at 4 p.m.
