The Irvington High School boys’ and girls’ track and field teams are competing at the Penn Relays at Franklin Field in Philadelphia, Pa.
On the first day of the meet, April 26, Rayna Smith, Taliyah Hayes, Vicki Molokwu, Andrea Jackson, and Cathiana Jean took sixth place finish in the 4×400-meter relay and seventh-place finish in their4x100 heat.
On Friday, April 27, the IHS boys’ 4×100 relay took fourth in its heat in 45.06.
On Saturday, April 28, the final day of the meet, the boys’ 4×400 relay won its heat in 3:27.50. Michael Veltz split 51.52; Keano Fearon split 51.39; Desmond Marfo split 53.46 and Devin Seward split 51.15.
Earlier in the week, the IHS boys’ and girls’ teams swept a tri-meet with North 13th St. Tech and Hillside on April 24 at IHS.

The Essex County Relays will be held Friday, May 4, at Livingston High School.
