Irvington’s Sadot Williams inducted into Felician University Hall of Fame

IRVINGTON, NJ – Felician University president Dr. Anne M. Prisco presented four former standout Golden Falcon student-athletes, including Sadot Williams, of Irvington, for induction into the Felician Athletics Hall of Fame at the group’s fourth annual banquet and induction ceremony on Thursday, October 13, at The Fiesta in Wood-Ridge.

Williams, a men’s basketball standout from 2002-06, was the final inductee of the evening. Williams is Felician’s all-time leader in three-point field goals, and is second on the school scoring and assist lists. A two-time all-CACC honoree, his teams won 60 games during his career. Williams was presented by former teammate and current Golden Falcon head coach Ivan Lewis.

“The places where I grew up were poverty-stricken,” Williams told the assembled throng. “But I could just see in my mom’s eyes, that I knew I had to do something to get out. I never thought I would fall in love with basketball as much as I did. Felician was a good family environment where student-athletes had no animosity toward one another. My teammates and I came together and just played like brothers.”
