Nutley HS baseball team blanks Newark Academy for fourth straight win

NUTLEY – Junior Jake Ramezzana homered twice and went 3-for-3 with five RBI and also threw a five-inning three-hit shutout with eight strikeouts and no walks to lead the surging Nutley High School varsity baseball team to a 10-0 home win over Newark Academy on April 25 in a Super Essex Conference-American Division game.

Senior Anthony Condito had two hits and senior Nick Miller had two hits and two RBI, including a homer, as the Raiders won for the fourth straight time and ninth in the last 11 games to improve to a 9-5 record.

The seeding meeting for the Greater Newark Tournament – which is the Essex County tournament – will be held April 26.
