Nutley HS baseball team defeats Hasbrouck Heights for third win in a row

NUTLEY – Andrew Connor went 4-for-4, Marty Higgins went 2-for-4 with two RBI and Matt Butler went 2-for-4 with a double, triple and an RBI to lead the Nutley High School varsity baseball team to an 8-6 win at Hasbrouck Heights on May 3.

Jake Ramezzana also went 2-for-4 with an RBI for the Raiders, who scored three runs in the top of the first inning and one in the second for a 4-0 lead. Hasbrouck Heights scored five runs in the fourth to take a 5-4 lead, but Nutley scored three runs in the top of the fifth to take the lead for good, 7-5. Raul Ortega had a double and an RBI and Andrew Santos also had a hit and two RBI for the Raiders, who won their third straight game to improve to 12-6.
