Nutley HS baseball team looks to get on track

NUTLEY – The Nutley High School varsity baseball team hopes to get on track after losing to both Montclair and Bloomfield to start the season.

Andrew Connor went 3-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI and freshman Marty Higgins homered and drove in two runs for NHS in a 9-7 loss at Montclair in the season opener in a Super Essex Conference-American Division game on Friday, April 1. Andrew Santos was 1-for-2 with an RBI.

Higgins went 2-for-5 with two RBI in the 11-4 loss to Bloomfield in the home opener on Saturday, April 2. Santos went 2-for-3 with a walk.
