NUTLEY, NJ – The Nutley High School boys’ varsity basketball team won two straight games to start the season.
Matt Schettino scored 23 points and Anthony Fabiano had 11 points in the 64-49 win over host Newark Arts in the season opener on Dec. 15. Marty Higgins had 10 points and Eli Acosta added seven for the Raiders.
Higgins netted 22 points and Schettino scored 19 in the 73-53 home win over Weequahic on Dec. 19. Fabiano and Jordan Swann each had six points in the victory.
