NUTLEY, NJ – The Nutley High School boys’ varsity soccer team defeated Pequannock, 2-0, on Senior Day on Oct. 26 at Father Glotzbach Field. Both goals came from senior captain CJ Haddock, assisted by junior Dan Caraballo and sophmore Austin Sweeney.
The team was led by seniors John Kruse, Sean Bartley, Sean Bernardo and Tesheen Khokar in the midfield. The defense was led by senior captains Anthony Cassie and Gerardo Flores. Senior Chris Goncalves also helped the defense to keep a clean sheet. Senior goalkeeper David Sanchez made eight saves and earned his fourth shutout of the year.
NHS improved to a 7-11 record.
