Nutley HS boys’ soccer team prevails in overtime over Technology

NUTLEY, NJ – The Nutley High School boys’ varsity soccer team defeated Technology, 2-1, in overtime Friday afternoon, Sept. 21.

Both teams went scoreless in the first half. Late in the second half, Nutley was able to find the back of the net on a goal from junior Hernan Castaneda.

Technology was able to tie it up with minutes left, sending the game to overtime.

After only a few minutes of overtime, sophomore Charlie Contini scored his first goal of the season to secure the win.

Senior goalie Brandon Syto ended the game with 12 saves.

Nutley improved to 2-1.
