Nutley HS football team defeats Newark Central to move to 2-2

NUTLEY, NJ — Senior quarterback Justin Lucia completed 15 of 22 passes for 108 yards and ran for 73 yards on three carries, including a touchdown run, and senior Dante Contella ran for 74 yards on 14 carries with a touchdown to lead the Nutley High School football team to a 26-8 win over Newark Central on Saturday afternoon, Sept. 28, at the Park Oval.

Junior Johnny Coppola and senior Brandon Martins scored touchdowns; junior Gennaro Longobardi had a two-point conversion and junior Michael LaTorre recorded a safety.

The Raiders ended a two-game skid and improved to 2-2.
