Nutley HS ice hockey team loses to Lakeand in state tournament second round to finish 12-8-3 season

NUTLEY – The Nutley High School varsity ice hockey team enjoyed a successful season under first-year head coach Anthony Yelovich.

The 14th-seeded Raiders lost to third-seeded Lakeland, 8-1, in the second round of the state Public B tournament on Feb. 26 at the Ice Vault in Wayne to end the season.

Cullen McCormack scored the goal for the Raiders.  Joe Hoarle had 28 saves for NHS, which finished with a 12-8-3 record.
