NUTLEY – The Nutley High School varsity wrestling team seeks a successful showing at the Essex County Tournament, today and Friday, Jan. 21-22, at Richard J. Codey Arena. The ECT begins today at 4 p.m. and continues Friday at 6 p.m.
The Raiders lost to Caldwell, 36-28, Friday, Jan. 15, at home in a Super Essex Conference-American match.
The following are the Nutley winners in the match: 106-pound bout: Shane Manieri decisioned Matthew Goldbach, 7-1. 113: Domonic Cofone major decisioned Matt Driggs, 11-2. 126: Francesco Gabriele, forfeit. 132: Frank DeMaio decisioned Thomas Rodgers, 7-5. 138: Rob Duxbury pinned Genero Gencarelli, 1:28. 152: Darwin Pena pinned Dan Fano, 2:48.
